Trailer

Tono is released from prison, where he spent five years for stealing scrap. He returns to Čierny Hron — his hometown — and finds it completely altered. His wife can barely recognise him, a five-year-old son treats him as a stranger and nobody wants to give an ex-thief any job. Both his childhood friends — Mark, a Catholic priest and Peter, a businessmen — have been successful in life and try to help Tono return to normal life. Unfortunately, both of them also struggle with the typical problems of men after 40 and need to face the reality that is much different from their expectations. Tono feels lonely and desperate. It is a touching story, set in a mountain landscape, presenting typical problems of Central Slovakia: patriarchal family, poaching and racial discrimination.
